My daughter has a samsung galaxy S5. And it says. Your device isn’t compatible with this version.

The IXL Team February 4, 2015 at 9:23 am

Hi Terry, our app is currently available only for tablet devices. However, we may consider developing a phone app and/or mobile-optimized website down the line!

Dean Rubine August 16, 2015 at 4:44 am

You can still use your phone’s browser to access ixl.com and use it that way.

Mary February 4, 2015 at 4:25 am

Why is the Android app not compatible with the LgG3? I’ve never seen an app not compatible with a new device just older devices. Please make an update for this.

The IXL Team February 4, 2015 at 9:25 am

Hi Mary, our Android app is currently available only for tablet devices. However, are looking into developing a phone app and/or mobile-optimized website in the future!

My son accidentally signed up for language arts section and I was charged right away. I did not noticed until the next day, cancelled it online, email the above address. I never received an email back, and no refund at this time.
I do love IXL – its great for my kiddo but please be better about emailing back.

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:09 am

Hi Natalia – we’re sorry you haven’t heard back yet – we’ve re-submitted your request to our support team and someone should be reaching out shortly!

Zeola February 4, 2015 at 10:08 am

When I lovingly(smile) prompt my children to practice using IXL, their Geometry scores improve. It is a very very useful tool. Thank you guys.

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:01 am

I need to know what you consider a year? I just joined in the beginning of the school year, I want to know when does my year end, & what is your policy?
I am the grandmother & my grand children didn’t take advantage of the program.
I’m thinking I might try sighing up another son’s children. Therefore, you cannot renew my subscription automatically because the grade levels are different.

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:02 am

Hi Frances, our yearly memberships are valid for one calendar year, or 12 months from the date it started. We’d be happy to help you sign up another child – please email us at support@ixl.com or give us a call at (855) 255-8800 and we can assist you directly. Thank you!

the mobile phone app would be very helpful for doctors office waits. Not to have to carry another tablet or device around to possibly get lost or broken. Please consider very seriously.

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:05 am

Thank you for your feedback!

Shel February 5, 2015 at 8:28 am

We joined IXL in 2014 as a means for my home school kids to practice math paperless (I hate printouts!). We were all VERY impressed with the content and material available. My kids got right to work and worked their way through their grade, then for fun, went back and completed the previous years. Though my kids may differ in their opinion, I love the challenge levels for their grades… it keeps them on their toes and helps them expand their understanding with concepts. They like the stickers and reaching the challenge zone :). I should get paid for the recommendations I have given IXL to other parents and homeschool moms. With sweat and determination, they finished their grade levels in 1/3 of the time of their school year. My daughter is now 1/4 through the next grade (not that it’s that easy- BECAUSE IT’S NOT :). The program allows her tackle areas she is equipped for in the next grade at her own pace. I love it! I know there are many free apps and programs with much more visual appeal or media eye-candy- but this program gave me what I was looking for: solid content, ways to track, wide variety/selection of skills to practice for their grade without wasted time in games loading, advertisements, & distractions. Love it! Love it! 5 Stars in my book! Thank you for providing it!

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:08 am

Hi Shel – thank you so much for sharing your experience with IXL, and we’re so glad it’s been a positive one! We love that your daughter has been able to master skills and work ahead 🙂

Ying Tan February 5, 2015 at 8:40 am

If kids get mistake on the problem could you please don’t drop the score down instead of replace one and not adding the score! That will not disencourage them and keep them going! Thanks!

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:19 am

Hi Ying, we appreciate you sharing your feedback! Our goal is to help students learn from their mistakes so they can go on to master the skill, so we lower the score in order to allow more time to practice and get to that level – but we are always working on other ways to encourage and motivate students, so we’ll be sure to pass your idea along to our development team.

Kidambi Sreenivas February 5, 2015 at 9:49 am

Could it be possible to include “badges” or “percent completion” on the icons of the various skill sets so that we can visually say if a set of skills has been completed. This is on the Android app, and currently one has to click on the skill to see how many have not been mastered.

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:13 am

Hi Kidambi – thank you for sharing this suggestion, it’s a great idea! We’ll let our mobile team know.

Cadence February 5, 2015 at 11:02 am

Does your company have any “IXL” apps available to use on iPhone’s? iPhone 4, maybe?

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 11:20 am

Hi Cadence, our apps are currently only available for Apple and Android tablets; however, we understand that our users want to be able to use IXL on their phones, so we are considering developing a mobile-optimized site and/or phone app down the line!

Norelia February 5, 2015 at 2:53 pm

Please do not lower the scores on the mistake ones… when lower score appears he does not want to continue doing it… please, please, please work on this… replace it with more exercises but do not take away the scores…your program is a wonderful tool for kids to learn. I do recommend this program to every parent I talk to.

The IXL Team February 5, 2015 at 5:23 pm

Thank you for your feedback, Norelia – and for recommending us to other parents. We really appreciate it!

Shyam sundar February 6, 2015 at 6:42 am

First of all, of the innumerable apps out there, I must say this is the best. The school felt my son will be lagging behind others especially in maths , but now he is among the top. Thanks to you. Is there any plans to include science . Second, instead of reducing the marks for errors, probably the exercise can be added

The IXL Team February 6, 2015 at 10:51 am

Hi Shyam, we’re so glad to hear that IXL has helped your son improve in math! We are indeed actively working on a science program, so stay tuned.

N. Salmen February 8, 2015 at 5:58 pm

We use IXL math for homeschooling, and like how we can keep track of each child’s progress so easily. My only complaint is when a child gets a problem wrong, their score is lowered so much. It is discouraging to them.

The IXL Team February 9, 2015 at 9:09 am

Hi N., thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We’re sorry to hear your children can get discouraged when their score goes down – one recommendation we often make to parents is that they have their kids aim for a SmartScore of 80 or 90 instead of 100, which can help reduce frustration. You can learn more here: http://blog.ixl.com/2014/11/10/what-smartscore-goal-should-i-set-for-my-students/

nolo November 1, 2015 at 7:31 am

my child is in year 2 but the work is far to easy for him. in school he is below everyone. how com?

The IXL Team November 2, 2015 at 12:31 pm

Hi Nolo, one of the great things about IXL is that your child can practice skills from any grade level! So if he finds the Year 2 work too easy, he can practice skills from higher grades. If you have more questions about your child’s progress, feel free to contact us at support@ixl.com, and our team would be happy to help.
