In the Classroom, For Admins

At Voices College-Bound Language Academies, the 2016-2017 school year started off with a bang: a school-wide implementation of IXL! We documented the beginning of the IXL journey at Voices here. Now that the first half of the year is behind them, we caught up with a few students and teachers at Voices to find out how IXL has made an impact in their classrooms.

A dual-language (English and Spanish) K-8 charter school in San Jose, CA, Voices gave all its teachers access to IXL’s targeted skill practice, real-time analytics, and comprehensive math, language arts, science, and social studies content.

For teachers Perry Siniard and Anelle Torres, the program has been a valuable tool that supports their teaching—from the time-saving reports in IXL Analytics to the many opportunities for differentiation.

Students Judith Avila and Haley Contreas say that IXL has sparked some good-natured competition among their peers. Even better, many students have been able to master concepts thanks to IXL’s answer explanations and the way questions adapt to each student’s level of understanding.

Check out the videos below to hear more about what these teachers and students are accomplishing with IXL!
