Hi Tony, we have confirmed that your class is registered. The leaderboard is based on the average number of problems completed per student – meaning the total number of problems completed divided by the number of students in the class. If you have further questions please email us at help@ixl.com and we can provide additional assistance!

I have a request.. for the older kids… 7th Grade+
These language sections for the big kids aren’t correct. This the time we start doing essays and reports. I saw that you guys have contests and such… Why not have an Online Authors Fair or Report Contest? I would love this and would participate in each one for a fact. Please take that into consideration…
Love,
Cat

I have also not received a confirmation email. Could you check whether Grand Concourse Academy is registered?
Thank you,

Hi Kristin – it looks like you registered with the username mspoellot; however, that username does not exist in our system, so we were unable to pull your classroom’s numbers. Please re-register using your correct IXL username so we can make sure to include you in the final tally! If you have further questions, just email us at help@ixl.com.

I believe my students have an average of 901 problems, but perhaps I do not understand all the rules.
Thank you,
Kristin Poellot

To all of our IXL Grammar Geek teachers – please note that confirmation emails were not sent out as part of the registration process, so if you signed up through the registration form, your class should be good to go! Otherwise, feel free to email help@ixl.com if you have specific questions about your class.

Hi Rebecca, we do not have another leaderboard update, but we will be announcing the winners on December 3 – so until then, we encourage classrooms to keep practicing!

What if you teach more than one section and all of your classes are participating?

The IXL Blog November 24, 2014 at 4:49 pm

Hi Anthony, if you’ve registered and you have multiple classes, each class is entered in the contest, and each class’s score will be counted separately.

My class has been doing the Language Arts Competition and are doing very well. I have to tell you how disappointed we are that there was only one leader board posted. My kids love competition and may have been more motivated had they seen more results. Maybe in your next competition, you could update the leader board more often. 🙂

Hi Beth, we’re so glad your class is participating, and thank you for your feedback about the leaderboards – we will definitely keep it in mind for the next contest!
