IXL Weekly Boost skill plans

We’ve added a new type of skill plan: IXL Weekly Boost! IXL Weekly Boost skill plans guide learners through the essential skills for each grade level. We’ve carefully selected a progression of skills to work on each week, covering a school year’s worth of curriculum. These skill plans make it easy for parents to choose IXL skills for their children to work on and supplement their learning.

Every skill plan includes 32 weeks of content, with about 3-8 skills each week. They are currently available for ELA grades K-8 and math grades PK-Algebra 2, with more grades coming soon. Try them out on the Skill Plans page!

More math skills with Spanish support

Hide student names on the Trouble Spots report

Teachers can now hide student names when viewing the Trouble Spots report. This gives teachers more flexibility to use the report with their class without revealing which specific students are struggling with each item type. Click the plus/minus icon to easily toggle between using the report with student names displayed or hidden.

Diagnostic Snapshot now in iPad and Android apps

Students are now able to access the Snapshot mode for the Real-Time Diagnostic through the iPad and Android apps! If an administrator has set up a Snapshot window, students can diagnose and complete their Snapshot through the app.

School-level Snapshot windows

Diagnostic Snapshot windows can now be set for specific schools. The primary administrator of a district-level IXL account can choose the individual school or set of schools to assign a Snapshot to on their Settings page. As before, they will also be able to choose the subject(s) to assess and the grade level(s) within the school(s) who will be assigned the Snapshot.
