Here’s a quick overview of the IXL app, including how to get it and some of the tools you can expect to find in it.

How to access the IXL app

The IXL app is available on iPhone, iPad, Android, and Kindle. You can download it from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore.

If you already have an IXL account, you can use that account to sign in to the app. Your learner’s progress on IXL syncs seamlessly across devices, ensuring they can always pick up where they left off.

IXL tools available in the app

Many of the IXL resources that are in the browser version are also available in the app. Your child can find skills to work on with the Recommendations wall, pinpoint their learning levels with the Real-Time Diagnostic, and earn new Awards! The IXL app also has audio support and Spanish language support, removing reading barriers for learners who need it.

Please note that if you are using the iPhone version of the IXL app, the Real-Time Diagnostic and Recommendations wall are not available at this time.

Unique features of the IXL app

To make learning on the go easier and more engaging, the IXL app also sports several special tools.

The app’s handwriting recognition lets learners write out answers with their fingertips, no typing required! Plus, if your child needs to work out problems on a piece of scratch paper, the IXL app comes with a built-in scratchpad so learners can write their work on the screen.
