By pinning the skills your kids love or that you want to prioritize, it’s faster than ever to dive into skill practice outside of the classroom. Learn how you can easily pin skills and enjoy more learning at home.
Find the skills that meet your children’s goals
On the skill plans page, you can browse through different types of plans and filter them to view by subject and grade.

If you want to use IXL to supplement your children’s classwork, textbook and state standard plans could be a great place to start. Assessment plans are especially helpful for your kids who are studying for important tests like the SAT, ACT, or state assessments.
If you’re not sure what plan to choose, IXL weekly boosts are a great way for your kids to get extra practice with the topics they’re learning in the classroom.
Think of each skill plan as a way to supercharge your kids’ learning!
Pin the skill plans you want to prioritize
Once you know which skills are best for your IXL-er to work on, just hover over the skill plan and select the pin icon next to their grade. It’s as easy as one click!

After you’re done pinning skills, they’ll show up at the top of your skill plans page. Just like that, your kids have instant access to the skills that are most important for them!
Motivate your children with pinned skill plans
Skill plans are like a roadmap to success, and they can help your kids stay motivated! With pinned skill plans, you can have your child work through a skill each day or a section of the skill plan each week.
You can even print out your pinned skill plans to give your children a checklist they can cross off on their own as they work their way through the skills. With more focused learning, you and your IXL-er will have more to celebrate!

However you choose to use the skill plans with your children, pinning them will make it easier to prioritize what they’re learning on IXL.
View your child’s work in skill plans
Another benefit of pinning your children’s skill plans is that it makes it easier to check in on their progress.
Within the questions log report, you can search by skill plans and view each one you have pinned. Just choose the one your child is currently working on and view their work on specific sections and skills.

Skill plans are a great way to keep your children on track and stay on top of their progress. Ready to start pinning skills? Get started on the skill plans page!
