IXL Math Powers over 150 Percent Growth on MAP Benchmark Assessment

Saint Lucas Lutheran School is a private K–8 school with a highly diverse student population that includes many families living in poverty as well as more traditional private school families. When Chris Luebke joined the staff in the fall of 2016, his middle school math students were all over the board in their mastery of grade level math skills. He brought in IXL Math to supplement his core curriculum and provide his students with individualized math instruction.

IXL Science in the Flipped Classroom

Nancy Foote teaches 8th grade Conceptual Physics at Sossaman Middle School in Queen Creek, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. The school district is highly diverse, and her classes have varied science backgrounds and academic abilities. To help all of her students master honors-level physical science concepts, she has flipped her classroom to allow more time in class for individual support and active learning. How do you close the confidence gap for disadvantaged students? For Kathy Dizon’s 6th grade class, IXL was the key to accelerating academic achievement and boosting motivation. An inner city, Title I school in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts School serves a diverse population with 88% of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. In Kathy’s class, many students started the year significantly behind grade level. She turned to IXL Language Arts and IXL Social Studies to help them catch up.
