Share IXL skills and sync rosters with Google Classroom

Did you know that IXL offers useful integrations with Google Classroom? You can easily assign IXL skills to students and manage your IXL roster—here’s how:


Assign IXL skills through Google Classroom

With just a few clicks, you can share IXL skills to Google Classroom for students to work on. Hover over the “Share skill” button near the top right corner of the page and click the green Google Classroom icon. Use the menu that appears to select the class you want to assign the skill to and to include instructions for your class. (Tip: Use the “Points” field to let students know the SmartScore goal you want them to reach).

After students have completed their assignments, go to IXL Analytics and use the Skill Score Chart to see how your class performed!

Upload and sync your IXL roster with Google Classroom

If you have an IXL classroom license or are on an IXL trial, we’ve made it easy for you to import your students from Google Classroom into your IXL roster! 

From your roster, click the Import students button at the top of the page, and choose the Google Classroom option. From there, simply follow the prompts to finish setting up your class in IXL! And if you need to update your roster later in the year, click the Sync with Google Classroom link.
