Stay Sharp with IXL Summer Resources!

Hello, summer—hello, summer resources! We’ve created a bunch of fun, free resources to help you make the most of the break and inspire students to become self-motivated learners. Get the downloads below!

Make real-world connections with summer learning activities

As students get outside this summer, integrate fun and learning with our learning activities. Whether it’s building a floating ship, trying out geocaching, measuring angles in real life, or creating a catchy newspaper headline for their book, there’s something for everyone! Check them out here.

Encourage students to be reflective learners

Our reflection logs are a great opportunity for students to flex their growth mindset muscles. By using their IXL Recommendations wall or choosing a report from IXL Analytics, students can set goals and chart their growth over the break. Find them here.

Boost learning with IXL Recommendations

Use IXL Recommendations as a fun road map for summer learning! Students and their parents try out these simple strategies to target trouble spots, build knowledge, and more. Get the handout here.

Motivate students to practice and discover new skills

Challenge students to complete a fun Bingo board and earn a pair of cool printable sunglasses, or meet various practice goals to redeem customizable coupons. Download our template or create your own here.

Participate in IXL’s Study in the Sun summer contest

Tap into students’ competitive side with our summer usage contest! From June 1 to August 31, the three students in each grade band (PreK–4th, 5th–8th, and 9th–12th) who answer the most IXL questions correctly will take home an iPad mini. Parents and teachers can register students here—and be sure to read the rules and FAQs here!

Celebrate success with summer certificates

Whether you want to reward students’ hard work in the IXL Study in the Sun summer contest or their overall dedication to summer learning, we have you covered with fun certificates. Download them here.

Get pin-spired all summer long

For even more ideas for summer fun, check out our Pinterest board! It’s full of summer science experiments, recipes, reading logs, and more.

Teacher Bonus: Keep parents in the loop!

Our parent handout (available in both English and Spanish) shows parents how to take advantage of IXL over the break. It even auto-populates with students’ usernames and passwords to make printing extra easy.
