Feature updates

Ability to share quizzes across the district

Teachers can now share copies of IXL Quizzes with teachers from other schools in their district! This update gives teachers more ways to collaborate with colleagues in their school district to customize learning on IXL.

Similar to sharing quizzes within their school, teachers simply click the “Share with teachers” button under the “…” menu and click the “Show teachers from other schools” button to see a list of teachers in their district. Teachers can review the other teachers they’ve selected before sharing their quiz. Any completed, drafted, or active quizzes can be shared with teachers of the same subject who share a site license.

Hide games for subsets of students

Teachers can now choose to hide IXL games for subsets of students, whether it be their entire roster, class, or individual students! This update allows teachers to have more granular control over game access, and allows them to create a more personalized learning experience for students. This affects teacher accounts in the US, CA, UK, and AU editions on the IXL website only.

Demographic groupings for District practice reports

District administrators can now “group by” any rostered demographic categories in the district-level Skill Usage and Skill Proficiency reports. This feature mirrors the grouping that was recently introduced in the district Diagnostic reports, allowing admins to specify multiple grouping categories at once. This update gives district administrators the ability to dive deeper into student data and uncover a more detailed picture of students’ practice.

Lock MAP study plans for students

Students are now prevented from editing or deleting personalized MAP study plans that were created by their teacher or batch uploaded by the IXL support team. Students will still be able to make changes to study plans they created. However, once a teacher or our support team edits a student-created plan, students will no longer be able to make changes.

Note: Study plans created before May 4, 2022 will not be locked due to technical constraints.
